Social Media revolution

The Number of Nigerians having access to the internet is growing despite many challenges.
From slow internet to erratic power supply, the story is never changing but with the emergence of accessibility of internet on most mobile phones evens the basic ones, things are looking up.
Most people who go online with their mobile phones spend most of their time on social media platforms with facebook leading, then twitter and you tube.
The story is the same all over the country and beyond, and here in Jos is no different, internet users visit social network platforms to get breaking news, share their views, engage in discussions e.t.c
Social Media is gradually becoming part of our existence; it gives us a voice to be heard all over the world
Journalism on the Plateau like anywhere else in Nigeria ruled by traditional media (print, Radio and Television) however Social Media is emerging as a force to be recon with when it comes to means of sending and receiving information. And it is gradually shaping the definition of mass media communication.
